TechWell: A Holistic Strategy for Digital Wellness in Schools
The TechWell project ("A Holistic Strategy for Digital Wellness in Schools", 101195919), funded by the Erasmus+ Programme under the ERASMUS-EDU-2024-POL-EXP call, aims to create a supportive digital education environment that enhances the well-being of students, teachers, principals, and parents. The project addresses challenges related to the increasing integration of digital technologies in schools, such as digital addiction, cyber safety, and unequal access to digital resources.
TechWell brings together ministries of education, pedagogical institutes, universities, NGOs, and edtech clusters from Bulgaria, Italy, Ireland, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Greece. The partners will co-create a state-of-the-art "Digital Wellbeing Suite" (DWS) — a comprehensive package of strategies, guidelines, educational materials, and practical solutions. The project will pilot digital well-being policies through experimentation in diverse educational contexts to refine and upscale best practices.
Main activities:
-
Conducting needs analysis and identifying challenges in digital school environments
-
Establishing an international network for sharing best practices
-
Delivering training sessions, workshops, and awareness-raising campaigns
-
Piloting and evaluating digital well-being strategies in schools
-
Developing practical guidelines for schools, teachers, and parents
The project is coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria and will run for 24 months (from March 2025 to February 2027).
