More than two years ago, partner institutions from Austria, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Greece, Romania and Turkey joined their efforts to work for the promotion of the Bulgarian, Romanian, Greek and Turkish languages in a regional, and a wider European context. Our efforts were aimed at increasing young peoples’ interest in learning these languages, as well as at encouraging their curiosity and interest in the cultures of their neighboring countries. The partnership was coordinated by the Center for Educational Initiatives Association, Bulgaria and the project was supported by the European Commission under the Socrates, Lingua program.
Main results of the implementation of the project:
* Produce and broadcast a series of radio broadcasts in Bulgarian, French, German, English, Romanian, Turkish, Greek, Italian and Hungarian (excretion is achieved by the project partners of Bulgaria and Radio Association for the support, promotion and assistance of non-commercial free local radio projects - Vienna). Radio sound presented pictures of the four languages, best practices in the field of learning four languages, cultural phenomena, from Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and Romania.
* Language Past weeks in all countries - partners in the project. Language weeks have provided a meeting place for various practices associated with the study of Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish, Romanian languages and cultures.
* Language Camp for children aged 10-15 years in Bulgaria. The camp gave participants the opportunity to acquire authentic intercultural experience and - by offering classes in language - to "taste" of other languages.
